this site was launched on 06092012. why am i writing a colophon.

i had a wordpress site once before. presumably i have a content backup, but i can’t get it to restore properly at the moment. i’ll fuck with it later. i’m a little frazzled. i managed to create two sql databases trying to install wordpress. and i think it may be possible that both are running. no seriously, it may be witchcraft. yes, i messed up an automatic install. it’s just one of those weeks.

addendum 06132012

i mangled the two simultaneous instances of wordpress by trying to import the content from my old wordpress site. or perhaps i just mangled the two sql databases. or fused all three into something unholy. so this is the second clean-slate installation. and though i lost the first few entries of the new site, i did manage to recover my older content through a temporarily operative dashboard (though the site itself wouldn’t render) before everything was wiped by my hosting provider at my insistence to cleanse this site of demons.

if any of that is confusing, i agree. and what’s even more upsetting to me is that my edits to the style.css header from the first installation are still present. none of this makes any sense. though i should really just accept that this installation is running, and recreate the few things i’ve done in the last few days. and decide what super-old content to carry over.
